Justin Cardinal

Co-Founder / Consultant

Justin has 9 years of consulting experience in the WHL. He spent three seasons with the PG Cougars, and spent six seasons with the Kootenay Ice where he was part of the 2011 WHL Ed Chynoweth Cup Championship, and represented the WHL in the 2011 Memorial Cup.

Growing up in Canmore, Justin enjoys camping and exploring the mountains with his wife, Terri, and son, Finn.

Nicolas De-Gaetano

Co-Founder / Consultant

Nic began his coaching career in 2008. In that time, he spent three seasons consulting for the Brooks Bandits, being part of the 2012 AJHL Enerflex Cup Championship, representing the AJHL at the Doyle Cup.

Currently, he is the goaltending consultant for the Olds Grizzlys of the AJHL.

Nic is a lifelong learner, having travelled to four different continents, competed in MMA and holding a Purple Belt in jiu-jitsu.

Benjamin Vandervies

Mental Performance / Consultant

After a playing career that ended in 2014 with University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in the NCAA, Ben returned to Calgary to begin his coaching career and a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology at the University of Calgary.

Ben has consulted in the AJHL for three seasons, two with the Drumheller Dragons, and most recently for the Calgary Canucks.

Having completed his Master’s thesis, Ben works with goaltenders both on ice, as well in mental skills, including; goal setting, self-talk, imagery, and routine building.

Richard Hubbell

Head Instructor / Consultant

Richie previously attended Olds College, where he obtained a diploma in Sports Business Management and consulted for the ACAC Olds College Broncos. He has also worked with the Calgary Mustangs of the AJHL, and is currently the head of goalie development for the Airdrie Stars (HSL),

Justin Newell

Instructor / Consultant

Justin has previously worked for Shock Hockey as the Head of Goalie Development, and was the goaltending coach for the NWCAA Bantam AAA Flames.

He attended the University of Calgary where he completed a 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Business.

Justin currently resides in Kelowna BC.

Alex Sirard

Sports Performance / Consultant

Alex has a very extensive junior hockey career playing in the WHL, AJHL, and SJHL. Most recently Alex played at the CIS level for the Pronghorns at the University of Lethbridge where he earned a Kinesiology degree.

Alex has great knowledge of the position and very good rapport with his students. He is the founder and operator of EVO Strength and Conditioning.

Phil Spanswick

Instructor

Phil earned a Mechanical Engineering degree while playing for the University of Calgary Dinos.

After playing professional hockey for the Manchester Phoenix and the Manchester Storm, he pursued a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering while consulting with the Fernie Ghostriders of the KIJHL.

Phil currently resides in Burnaby BC.

EGC.Fordo

Todd Ford

Instructor / Consultant

Todd was a Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick in the 2002 NHL draft. He played most of his professional hockey career in the ECHL and AHL.

Todd was the goaltending coach for two seasons with the Calgary Hitmen in the WHL, as well as the Okotoks Oilers in the AJHL.

Todd now resides in Calgary as a Firefighter and works the the Mount Royal Cougars as their goaltending consultant.

EGC.Cam

Cam MacDonald

Instructor / Consultant

Cam has coached goaltenders for over a decade.

In 2017-20 Cam was the goaltending consultant for the Fehervar AV19 in the Hungarian pro league. He was the goalie coach for the Erie Otters in the OHL from 2013 to 2015.

Before Erie, Cam was the goalie coach for the Allen Americans in the Central Hockey League and helped guide them to the 2013 Presidents Cup and Goaltender of the year honours.

Cam has developed many goaltenders to go on and play Junior, College, Pro and NHL.
