Intro

The In-Season Development (ISD) program is an adaptation skill development progression. The focus of this program is Skill Adaptation, where goaltenders will learn how to integrate the skills acquired in the previous two development phases (OSD & PSD) into the fall & winter hockey season.

The program consists of on-ice sessions that combine technical and tactical inputs, and off-ice mentorship sessions to help goalies deal with the ups and down that come with the position throughout the season.

Description

Our ISD program offers goalie sessions specifically tailored for dedicated athletes, providing them with the necessary training before school hours to help accommodate their demanding schedules.

We offer three convenient location options: Airdrie Genesis Place on Mondays, Rocky Ridge YMCA on Tuesdays, and Cardel Rec South on Wednesdays.

Each training session lasts for one hour, with a low goalie-to-instructor ratio (2:1) to ensure optimal on-ice development. We implement a progressive curriculum for every on-ice session, focusing on a steady enhancement of each goaltender's technical skills.

Beyond on-ice training, each participant is granted access to a Google Drive account, where they can review video footage from every training session. To promote introspection and self-awareness, we provide each athlete with a journal to use for self-reflection following each on-ice session. Additionally, our coaches host a weekly live video call to address any queries the students might have about their development. We believe these additional resources significantly enhance the value of our academy, extending beyond the time spent on the ice.

Week 1-20
